My First Book is Back on Amazon!

What a pleasant surprise, my first book (published with Fortress) is now back and available on Amazon. I hope you will agree that like good wine, it has only gotten better with age... ;-)

Steve,

This is a fine tome that you have created. I have used it a number of times in upper level electives. I like the work for four reasons. First of all you don't try to "eat the whole elephant at one setting," to borrow an African phrase. The book is nicely done in really three major sections (new methodological overview; historical context; and texts examined Ezek, 38-39; Zech. 1-8; and Joel). Second, it was very refreshing to see your implementation of Sociological theory - e.g Chapter Two. Third, in my estimation it is a very good correction to Plöger and Hanson's works - mostly covental in their outlook. Fourth, some very good theological exegesis is done with the texts that you address in the book. Well done and thanks for writing it for we in the guild.

Dr. Cook,

Glad that your doing this website, and that your book is back on Amazon. I've already got a copy via Cokesbury. I gave a copy of "The Apocalyptic Literature" to my Rector, and he's enjoying it. I hope things are well with you, and thanks again for doing this1
